New Neighbors and electrical
Had our new neighbors stop in :p

construction efforts approved!
Met with the bankers and got everything signed on the dotted lines! The construction is started! this is the plumbing going in!

Building gutted, just waiting on approvals!
The building is finally gutted completely! Now just waiting on approval from the bank for the reconstruction efforts!

New garage door and front windows!
From here forward things took a crazy amount of time! I, and whenever possible, my Dad, were the two laborers to save money in this endeavor! We tuck pointed (and mudded where it was necessary) EVERY block and brick in the building, then we worked to have the new roof installed and finally, we got a new garage door and windows installed in the front areas of the building to bring it up to code and give it a more appealing look... This is a picture of before... and here's one

Pulling nails to reuse the old boards
I pulled more nails from the old boards and sorted more boards than I cared to count.... I plan to use these to restore the ceiling to its original look and walls as they go up...

Cleaning out the old
Over the past months of owning the building we went through and did a thorough job of assesing what we wanted to keep and reuse at the end of the project. These are pictures of the building with much of what was in it when I bought it.

Oil Tank Tear Out
Ripped two big holes into the concrete in the front of the building to fill in the oil tanks!

2610 N MAIN STREET
In October of 2014, I began the adventure of my new glass art studio and gallery. The auction was a huge win for me and I did not undertand the magnitude of work ahead of me, as I was totally new to the world of permits, approvals and inspections.... This first picture shows the day building on Day 1....
